Now and later
If a current conversation is uncomfortable, leave first using the applicable Stop or exit action. Manage blocking after you are no longer exposed to the conversation if that is the safer path. Urgent danger requires outside help, not reliance on a product control.
Compare the choices
| Choice | Main purpose |
|---|---|
| Stop | End the current conversation or journey |
| Next | Continue toward another match when available |
| Block | Manage future interaction with the account as verified |
| Report | Notify the service about possible rule-breaking |
Verified blocking steps
Manage a block deliberately
If an unblock option exists in settings, explain it separately and warn that it can change future interaction. Do not place unblock beside an urgent safety instruction. For reporting, use Report Someone; for ordinary session exit, use End a Video Chat.
Choose the action that matches the situation
If you simply do not want to continue the current conversation, ending it may be enough. If you do not want future interaction with the same account, blocking may be the relevant additional choice once its actual effect is confirmed. If the conduct may break platform rules, use the separate report path as well. When a threat, exposed credential, payment loss, or intimate-image concern continues beyond the service, a block cannot replace account recovery, a payment-provider contact, local authorities, or an appropriate specialist support route.
Final action: Back to the Safety Center
Verify the effect instead of guessing it
Final QA should record what changes immediately after Block, what the blocked-user list shows, whether confirmation appears, and what Unblock changes. The copy must describe only those observed effects. It must not infer that an IP address, device, future account, off-platform contact, or every matching possibility is covered. If a person contacts you elsewhere, use that service's controls and the appropriate outside-help route rather than treating the ChitChatVideo block as universal.
